What our visitors think of our self catering cottage at Little Aird Hill (from Trip Advisor).

Little Aird hill is Wonderful!
Last week my wife and I stayed in Little Aird Hill which is the self catering cottage run by Gordon and Vanessa. The accommodation is only suitable for a couple but is lovely and cosy. It is always warm and has brill views over the sea. Gordon is very personable and is always on hand for advice etc. The area surrounding Badachro is wonderful. All in all an excellent, relaxing holiday.

A holiday to remember
We recently visited Little Aird Hill for a 3 night stay. It was a holiday to remember. Gordon and Vanessa were so welcoming. We took our dog with us as well. Fantastic location with great views. The cottage was fantastic, very clean and cosy. Loved the fire. Would recommend anyone to stay here. Gordon recommended we visit Red Point beach which was just a short drive along the road. It is an amazing beach. This was fantastic for our dog. My partner asked me to marry him while at the beach which was so special. Definitely be back.

Wonderful Stay at Little Aird Hill
We had a 315 mile trek in driving rain and sleet in order to get here, but it was well worth the journey. Set apart from the main house, Little Aird Hill is a fantastic bolt hole for two and just the ticket for a late autumn getaway in the first week of November. We knew the area well from previous summer holidays nearby, but this was our first off-season stay and Gordon and Vanessa’s cottage was perfect for our needs. They have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible and the design and lay out of the cottage was spacious and yet cosy at the same time. Everything you expect to be there is included, and some lovely extra touches such as a hot water bottle – handy for the cold evenings we experienced. It was very clean and very well furnished. One thing I’d recommend bringing though (for winter stays) would be a torch, since it is literally pitch black at this time of year when coming and going at night-time. We’d a truly lovely stay in a very special place and hope to be back again soon. Thank you Gordon & Vanessa.

Superb in every way!
We have just spent a wonderful week in Little Aird Hill, the self catering ‘bothy’ attached to Aird Hill b&b. It is our second time staying the bothy after first spending two nights in the b&b in 2010. Vanessa and Gordon are superb hosts and have managed to provide the perfect environment for a self catering holiday in the Highlands. The lovely touches of leaving fresh bread and Vanessa’s home-made jam confirm their attention to detail and service. We climbed a couple of Munros and walked on amazingly secluded beaches which must make Badachro possibly the best location in Scotland (in our view!)
The local Badachro Inn is within easy walking distance for a pint or glass of wine with great local food. The drive out to Red Point and the views out to Skye and Applecross take my breath away.
heart breaking to leave…. but we will be back

A Perfect Place to Relax & Enjoy the Scenery
My wife and I and 14 year old son stayed a week in the self catering “Little Aird Hill” here in late July and we had a really fantastic time. Gordon and Vanessa were wonderful and we were made to feel most welcome. They had thought of everything and the accommodation lacked nothing. The underfloor heating was lovely, the bed was really comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We even had a broadband internet connection there, included for no extra cost! We enjoyed fresh eggs, strawberries and raspberries (which were in season) and the lovely dogs (together with the chickens and ducks).Aird Hill is really well located, with stunning views, and beautiful walks and places to visit nearby. It is only a short walk down to the local pub (although the return trip seemed longer)! There are some local shops about 5 miles away in Gairloch, but our hosts’ advice to stock up (on food and petrol) at the big supermarket in Inverness (into which we flew and is about 2 hours away) was a very good idea.We had a lovely, relaxing time there and hope to get back again as soon as we can. Thank you Vanessa and Gordon – it was just perfect!
